Go Steelers!

I never though I would post anything about sports..that didn't involve my children or Gary, but today I must say...Yeah Steelers! I think I may have the biggest Steeler Fan living with me. Everything he does or has revolves around Black and Yellow aka Steelers colors! Well after a few years, the Steelers were back in the Superbowl!

Being the party gal I am, I had to thow the best bash ever. Starting a little late, all the steelers, decor was sold out, so I went with the old fashioned...do it yourself. I went with Black and Yellow everything and went to town! Lots of food, friends and of course FUN!
It was a close game and a nailbiter all the way. After a 100 yard run and touch down, stupid called by the refs, and an amazing last minute tuchdown. The Steelers won their 6th superbowl!

Kallie goes short!

Here is my cute girl with her long locks. Kallie is very much into pretty hair bows and princesses. Well I decided she was in need of a trim.

Over 6 inches later and a donation to locks of love, we came home with a much shorter style and a cute new bob! I hate to say it, but Gary was right. (first and last time) He kept telling me to cut her hair short and after much hesitation, I told the stylist to just do it. I couldn't look. I turned away and when I turned back around, I was holding a 6 inch ponytail of Kallies hair. She looks so cute and she LOVES it. I think it makes her feel like a princess to get pampered like that.

Good Bye Baby...Hello Big Boy!!!

Well time sure flies. I can't believe it has been two years since our little surprise joined our family. We couldn't be happier. He is such a joy to have. He has done everything he can to keep up with his sisters. He is partners in crime with Kallie and daddy's little bud.

Shantel wanted to make Keeg a special Birthday cupcake with her new cupcake maker that Santa brought. It turned out surprisingly well! We lit the candle and sang Happy Birthday,

And then Keeg chowed down on the chocolate goodness! As you can see, he likes chocolate.

His favorite presents this year are... His spiderman bigboy bed, golf set, hotwheel cars (which he calls trucks) and case and remote control car. What a spoiled cutie!

We wish you a Merry Christmas!

Here are the kids sitting on santa's lap giving their list of Christmas wishes.
Keegan just wanted a candy cane. Kallie wished for pet shops. Shantels asks for Barbies.

Christmas wouldn't be complete without some Christmas outfits (Thanks Grams!)

Look at all that loot Santa left! Spoiled rotten kids!

Keegan loved Christmas this year. Just the perfect age for opening gifts. After a few good gifts he got bored and wanted to play with what he already opened. Silly guy!

Shantel the pro passing out presents and reading the tags. She got tons of Barbies and a cupcake froster.

Kallie got all her Littlest Pet Shop animals and a giant Pet Shop Fitness Center. She was so excited!
As you can see there are no pictures of Me or Gary.... for some reason the camera brain fell out of my head, but we did get it All on Video, so it is not all lost! Here are some of the surprises that we got. Gary got a picture hanging level...dorky, but we just got a great family picture framed and need to hang it! He also got clothes and shoes (boring adult gifts!). I got cloethes, shoes and an awesome new camera case that will hold everything (my camera, zoom lense and video camera) all together! The big family gift was a bunch of Wii stuff. New games, more controllers etc. It was a Great Christmas, and went by too fast...as always!

Happy 6th Birthday Shantel !!!

We wanted to do a carnival themed birthday, but it turned out to be more polka dots and fun. This was my first experience with a friend part and it turned out well. I only had a few friends come (not knowing how to handle a house full of 5 year olds). We played pin the nose on the clown and had cake and ice cream and then just let the kids run wild. They had such a blast. Thanks to my friend Laura who brought her two boys, who were such troopers playing with a bunch of girls, and for hanging out and playing games with us!

MMMM polka dot cake! Present time! Ella pinning the nose on!

Birthday morning presents before school...it was a High School musical Birthday!
Happy Birthday Shantel, I cannot believe you are 6!

Ice Princess

Having a hockey player in the family, you would think that we were regulars at the ice rink (besides Sunday night games). Well, wrong. Gary's work had an Ice Skating party at the Gallivan Center. We decided that it would be a great time to get Shantel skating for the first time. We left the other two at home so we could skate and be cold without 2 other wild children.
The first trip around the ice, Gary pretty much held Shantel up on her skates. The second time around Gary told her to act like she was "walking" and that was the end of it. She was a natural. I joined them on the ice and we all held hands and skated around. That was enough for that Ice Princess, after that she wanted to skate by herself. She did great skating around the bumpy ice by herself. I can't wait to take her in some real ice. I guess this is a new family activity we will take part of!

Enlarge the picture and look at Shantel's face...classic.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! This was too cute not to share. In Kindergarten Shantel was a pilgrim for her feast; In preschool Kallie was an Indian for hers. How perfect that they each
were something so different.

The day after we had to get the tree and decorations up. Of course it was after I woke up from my nap after the Midnight Black Friday Shopping. Great deals! The kids had a great time pulling all the decorations out and looking at them. You would think they had never seen the stuff before. They did great decorating the tree, not one ornament broke (yet!). We did, however, put the kid friendly ones on the bottom.
