A Day at the Lake!

We had the opportunity to go boating with our friends Rick and Leah a few weeks ago. We headed up to the lake in the morning and had to leave that afternoon. It had to be a short day trip because duty called at work and I needed to be there at 7. (the joys of nursing!) This was the first time we have been up all year and we had a blast.

Here are pictures of the kids playing in the water. Last year they had nothing to do with life jackets and this year they didn't put up a fight. They actually got used to the idea that they could float in the water with them. Not afraid to go in this year, they were fish and refused to get out of the water.

We went tubing..or rather the kids did..and yes if you look close I put Gary in the Kid category! At first the girls were a little cautious with the idea of being pulled by a boat in the middle if the lake. After a few minutes and a few bumps they were loving it. Of course Kallie was a little less nervous than Shantel..she is the fearless leader! Gary finally got on so Keegan could have a turn and he loved it.
Had to throw some pictures of us in there...don't mind the blinding whiteness of our bodies...like I said it was our first trip out! See, we really do get out and do stuff!
Keeg asleep in daddy's arms on the boat.

Here is Gary water skiing. It has been over 5 years since he has been. It took him a few tries to get up..which the kids thought was the funnies thing to see him fall over! Once he relaxed he got right up and was showing off his skills.
We had a great time and give a BIG thanks to Rick and Leah for taking us out. Of course Gar wants to buy a boat now..but we'll see what happens ;) I am just sorry we had to leave so early. Hopefully we can get out again before the season is over...which is coming fast.

Summer at Snowbird

Gary had a week off from work and in attempts to do something fun we went to Snowbird and used the All Day passes we got a few weeks ago and the Grill on the Hill. It was such a beautiful day and best of all, not to busy!

Here is Shantel on top of the hill for the Alpine Slide.

What a cute polite little girl I have! Right before we head down the slide.

Gary and Shantel heading down the slide!

Me and Kallie going down the slide. She is such a daredevil, she wanted to go faster and faster down the hill.

The Tram! A ride on the Tram was included in the All Day Passes. It was the last adventure of the day. There is something about all the beauty and peacefulness you feel at the top of the mountain. Makes you appreciate that you have all this in your backyard and that there is so much more out there than what you can see.

Yes, we wanted to throw him over the side, but the side said do not throw things down the mountain. At this point Keeg was so tired we was grouchy and mean.

Our family at the top of the world!

We began the day by playing on the bounce houses. I think they spent well over an hour bouncing down the slide! A good babysitter if you ask me! Shantel went on the tramps and had a blast. The bottom picture is her trying to do a flip...but couldn't get her feet to swing all the way over. As you can see she was a little unsure at first.

We had such a wonderful day as a family in the mountains away from life and reality. It will be sad when we have to go back to work and real life.
And this is what happens when you have way too much fun.....asleep at the dinner table sitting up!

BIG Birthday Bash!

Yes another Birthday blog post, but the week was filled with such fun, that I thought we would share. Friday was Kallie's BIG Birthday Bash at The Little Gym. She won a free birthday party for signing up for fall semester! Yeah big fun and less work for me! This also gave us a chance to celebrate with friends.

Here is our birthday monkey

Bella, her friend from Preschool!

Riley another a friends we met at preschool!

Chase, one more friend from preschool and carpooling with Riley!

Keegan and Gary after Keeg stubbed his toe. He hurt it so bad he wouldn't walk on it for 2 days. There was no bruising or swelling, so must not have been broken. But poor kid couldn't walk ;(

Wyatt and Ezra even travelled to the party! Ezra didn't slow down even with his poor arm in a cast. What a trooper!

Will, my friend Dana's son. Took him a while to get used to all the wild kids, but he had a blast. He is such a strong little guy too.

Cousin Ella just hanging around!

Shantel showing off her skills.

Keegan on the beam before the toe injury!
And you can't have a party without cake!

Happy 4th Birthday

4 Years ago, Little Kallie was born with a head of dark hair and a face of beauty! The last 4 years have been a joy with her. She is spunky, witty and loves her thumb! Here is a quick look back in time...

39+ weeks, still feeling good!

Fresh out of the oven!

As The Years Flew By. . .

Wow! ONE!

Look, I grew...I am 2!

Look at me, I am 3!

Oh Score! I am 4!

A few of my gifts.

Mommy and daddy got me a big girl bike too, I was so surprised when I saw it, I didn't even know what to do. I just hopped on and wanted to go for a ride.

Mmmmm Chocolate cupcakes!
I had such a wonderful day! Mommy and daddy took me all by myself to Build A Bear and I got the cutest pink unicorn and a pretty sleeping beauty dress for her to wear. All day I told every one that is was my Birthday! After i got my unicorn, we went for ice cream and then went home to open more gifts and eat dinner...of course after we had my birthday cupcakes! What a great day.

Happy Birthday Baby Logan

I am proud to announce that I am a big sister yet again. And YES it is another boy. I guess I am not destined to have a sister. Although it may be a little late to do each others hair and nails~! Maybe that is why I was blessed with two girls of my own.

Logan was born on 7-8-9 9 (cool date I know)! He was a whopping 7 lbs and 11 oz and 19 3/4 inches tall. We went to visit papa Mark and Wendy at the hospital and snapped a few pics of the girls holding their new uncle! (yes I know that is a little weird!)

The girls thought it was so cool that they got to hold the baby and keegan just wanted to pet him. Shantel never got tired of the little one and would have held him all night if she could.
The only downside is that now they are asking when we are going to have another little addition to our family so they can have a baby...little do they know, they grow up...fast.
