Christmas 2007

Christmas this year was a lot of fun. Shantel is into the whole Santa thing and Kallie kept asking were Santa was..although she still doesn't really get it. There were two things Shantel kept asking for a "Barbie car to drive" and a Dinosaur. (I know what 5 yo girl wants a dino?). Kallie had no idea and Keegan I think just wanted boy toys...who could blame him he has been playing with girls toys for a year!

Shantel and Kallie got a Princess Car to drive..boy they wouldn't get out of the thing and kept driving into the walls, so we had to put it in the garage. Our smart Shantel even asked why it wasn't a Barbie car.. those darn elves must have painted the wrong thing!

Keegan finally got something a boy could be proud of...a basketball hoop. It is so much fun, every time you make a basket it makes noise and plays music. Keegan loves to put the ball in the hoop and then dance to the victory song. He also got about 5 different cars and trucks and some tools.

Keegan our Little Man. Kallie helped the photographer get the perfect picture by tickling him with the feather duster and playing with the toys. The only draw back was Keegan trying to walk off the set!

Kallie was so excited to get her pictures today in her "Princess" Dress. She sat very still while I curled her hair and when we go there she climbed up on the set and yelled cheese before we were ready. She would go up to the other kids waiting and hold her dress out and say "I'm Cinderella". She's our Little Princess!

Shantel was a dream. It only took one take for her picture! The photographer posed her and Shantel didn't move. She was a little disappointed that she only had one take. I think she wanted a full photo shoot!

Happy 5th Birthday Shantel !!!

Our Big girl just turned 5 . I can't believe we have a 5 year old. She was really excited to be 5. A wonderful world awates her...or so she thinks. She gets to start Kindergarten this coming year and everything.

She had preschool today and took cupcakes to her class to celebrate. Gary took the day off and we spent the day with her just hanging out. I had to work that night, but we went to Jungle Jims to play the next day. They had so much fun riding the rides and playing games.

I will get photos up soon!

Turkey Day

There is Gary carving the Guest of Honor!! The bird was excellent this year. We had Turkey day at our house. I worked the night before, so Gary was Mister Chef and cooked all by himself so I could get a few hours of shut eye.

Lion and Devil and Blue's Clues....O MY!!!!

Halloween was a huge success this year. Shantel was all into dressing up and really excited to be a devil this year. She was a little too shy to say trick or treat, but she is starting to get the idea. Kallie was great. She would run behind Shantel and grab handfulls of candy and yell thank you. Keegan had Limo service and was pushed in the stroller behind his rowdy sisters. He even got a little candy!

Pun-kin Time

Carving pumpkins was done in shifts this year. Due the my new schedule at the new hospital and the kids being sick we didn't have time to do it as a family. So I carved Keegan's and Kallie's pumpkins with the kids and Gary carved his and Shantel's the next day while I was at work. Shantel carved her own pumpkin all by herself and Kallie had a little help! Keegan tried to eat the insides and found out they weren't so tasty after all.

Scarecrow Festival Oct. 13th

Shantel our little dancer danced again. She had only 2 classes to learn the Halloween dance and she performed fabulously!! Of course she was in the back... Why would they put the shortest girls up front? Maybe too logical? She stood behind a girl who stood there the whole time without dancing, while Shantel danced her heart out. I need to teach her to be a little more assertive and jump onto front stage!

The scarecrow festival would have been loads of fun if it wasn't raining. Thanksgiving Point did a great job with lots of activities for the kids. The girls got to bounce on a few of the bouncy slides and we got to ride the "train", but do to the very yucky weather we left earlier than anticipated to enjoy a family lunch out!

Discovery Gateway!

Shantel and Abbie doing a play Kallie at the check out!
I finally decided to try something new with the kids. My friend Liz played hookie from work(sorry secrets out) and we took the kids to Discovery Gateway AKA Children's Museum. Little did we know that two days later we would be able to see the Robots Exhibit. Oh well, such is life. The girls liked the ball sucker tubes, aka the Garden. Kallie's favorite was the construction Zone. I never knew putting big fake blocks down a tube could be so fun. Shantel enjoyed the new broadcasting the best. I guess girls like to see themselves on TV. She was very cute making up news stories. Maybe she will take after daddy and go into the radio/TV business! Keegan's favorite part was going home to take a nap. Poor guy was pooped. The helicopter was also a bighit...who knows they may follow mommy's steps and work for IHC!! ha ha!!

Life Light Pilot? Future Broadcater??

Utah State Fair!

Kallie on her first Pony Ride. Shantel our lil cowgirl!

Wheeee! Daddy & Shantel on the BIG Yellow Slide
There were a lot of firsts this year at the Fair. Mommy wasn't pregnant, Kallie rode her first horse, both girls got to ride the rides and we all tried the dippin dots!! Of course the best part about the fair is the food. Hands down! You can't go to the fair without having all the delicious junk food. Navajo tacos, scones, kettle corn, corn on the cob...yummy! The girls loved the animals and actually got the nerve to pet them, and Keegan just stared at the big smelly things. He will have a better time next year.

Shantel is back in Pre-School

Shantel stiking a pose! or TWO!
Kallie trying on sisters backpack, she wants to go to school too!

Shantel is back in pre-school for another year. Her first day back was Sep. 7 th. She is so excited to be back with friends. (It gives me a little break as well) We decided it was time for a hair cut and gave her a little bob. She surprisingly loves it too.

Kristine's Birthday

I have celebrated another birthday and yet I am still a young one!! My birthday fell on Labor Day this year and yes, I had to work. But that is ok I had two weekends to celebrate!! Gary surprised me with a new car..oh wait SUV. Want to know the best thing about it? It fits all 3 kids and the stroller with room to spare! The kids would tell you the DVD player is the best!!

A Day at the Lake!

Shantel and Kallie loved playing in the water. Shantel was learning that a life jacket helps you float, while Kallie had no fear and ran right in.

Kallie and her Pirate hat. Aaarg Matey!
Keegan having a taste of his first cheeto....Thanks Grammy! He devourded the thing. I am surprised he tasted it. Luckily we had a lot of water near to wash off.

Kallie turns 2!

Our sweet baby girl has just turned 2! She is by far our handful of a child. The girl has no fear and will attempt to do and eat almost anything. We celebrated Blues Clues style. As you can see, we like to theme up parties at the Waldron house! Yes, the cake is home made... I can be hired for your own cake needs.

Our Little Dancer

Shantel started dance classes this spring and has really taken to it. She is so natural! Kallie has even picked up on the dances and dances around with Shantel while we practice the dance moves. We may just put her in next year. I thought Shantel would be really shy to get up on stage in front of a large group of strangers, but she did great. She got up and danced her heart out and remembered every step.

Gary Turns the BIG 40

Gary turned the big 40 in June. We celebrated Hawaiian style with a mini luau in our backyard. It was great to get everyone together and party. We had great food (and lots of it), a lot of fun tropical drinks, who could ask for more? Except maybe actually being in Hawaii.

The Waldron Family

Well, here I am joining the rest of the world in creating a blog. We are Gary, Kristine, Shantel, Kallie and Keegan; The Waldron Family. Sharing our family, One Story at a Time!

We Finally Have our BOY!

After 4 1/2 years of all girl power in our house, Keegan finally decided to add some testosterone to our home. He was our surprise child from the very beginning. He also added to the red head mix, so Kallie and I are out numbered there. He is full of life and adores his sisters.
