Shantel's Soccer Schedule

A friend of mine (Stacie) and I decided to put or girls in soccer together this spring. Shantel is so excited and it will be good for her to be part of a team and to get some energy out. Her first game is March 1st at 1100, so pictures are coming soon!
All games are at Butler Middle School (7530 South 2700 East). Here is her game schedule.
March 1st 1100
March 8th 1000
March 15th 1000
March 29th 1000
April 5th 1100
April 12th 1100
April 19th 1100
The two girls on the team wanted to name the team the pretty princess, and were turned down by the 4 other boys, so they decided on the Tigers.

Family Sledding

The sun was shining, the birds were singing and what a better day than to spend it with the family. Ok, so it only took 5 years to get us out on a sled with the kids. We decided to have quality time with the family and went to the park for an afternoon of sliding down a hill at warp speed. Shantel went earlier this year with Ella, so she was a pro. Kallie on the other hand needed to figure out what this was all about and poor Keegan was stuck in a sled unable to move. Kallie loved going down the hill, but wanted to walk around and would refuse to go back up the hill for another go. (She was quite content walking around in the snow) We couldn't let Keegan go with out a trip or two down, so Gary and I took turns taking him down. What fun that was. Gary and Keeg were the last to come down at the end of it all and upon stopping (Gary sticking his feet out in front of him) Splashed a HUGE thing of snow right in Keegan's face. Keegan was so confused as to what was going on he didn't know whether to cry or not...our tough guy just sat there (what a trooper). I just so happened to pull that same stunt on Kallie, she just looked at me and said "Buuurrr it's cold". We had a great time until Kallie decided to be a 2 year old and throw a fit.

Happy Valen-Times Day!

Yes, I spelled that right. Shantel has changed the holiday to Valen-Times Day and it was too cute to correct her. We all have been sick with the stomach flu and had to miss work and school. Today was the first day we were feeling well enough to get off the couch and Shantel couldn't miss her Valentine's party at school, she was very excited to pass out her valentines to her friends.

Love is in the air, and being the domestic and loving mom I am, the girls and I made hart shaped pancakes for breakfast. We all took turns pouring, stirring and Kallie even cracked an egg. They turned out real good (shape and taste). And if you look close yes the batter was even pink. Wow sometimes I even amaze myself!

Tagged Again!!

OK Stacie I will play along!
A. The rules are posted at the beginning.
B. Each person answers the questions about themselves
C. At the end of the post, the person then tags people and posts their names; then goes to there blog and leave them a comment, letting them know that they have been tagged.

10 years ago: Lets see. I was a Junior in High School taking college classes to get out of High School. Working at Kid to Kid and had the not so greatest friends.
5 Things on my to do list: 1. Try to spend quality time with kids. 2. Clean house. 3. Keep house clean. 4. use all my messages Gary bought me. 5. ummm??
Things I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire: Hire someone to clean my house. Pay off all Bills. Buy a bigger home so girls could have their own rooms, put kids in private school and save for college. (maybe work part time and go to school myself)
3 of my bad habits: I am not a clean freak. I get side tracked easily when doing small tasks. I procrastinate.
Jobs I have had: Kid to Kid. KISN when it was a radio station. Dillards. Garden Terrace as a CNA. LDSH as a CNA to LPN to RN. Now IMC as an RN.
Things people don't know about me: I don't have alot to hide, so most everyone knows most everything.

Ok so now I tag Laura, Karla and Sarah if she's around.

The Incredible Shrinking Man!

Well Gary has more will power than I will ever know. Right after Thanksgiving (2 days) he decided to lose weight. I thought yeah right! How can anyone stay with a diet this time if year with all the scrumptious treats coming? So far it has been about 2 1/2 months and 40 pounds. Yes you heard right 40 big ones!! With a lot of will power, little calories and some exercise, he looks great. (not that he didn't before)

Look closely at the pictures. The above is before and to the right is the almost after. They aren't the typical half naked poses, but you get the idea.
It is all in the face!!!

Sledding

Is she a seal, a penguin or sledding girl? This was Shantel's official first time sledding (Gary pulling her around the yard doesn't really count, right?) She went with cousin Ella and had a great time. She said "It was a little scary, but after a while it was fun. "
