Best Friends!

Shantel and Ella are not only cousins, but Best Friends! Shantel is the oldest by 2 months and the shortest by a head. Yes, she comes up to Ella's chin, which it a funny sight to see. They have been best friends since birth. If I had my scanner up and running I have a great shot of them sitting together as babies. We have been lucky that we only live a few blocks away, making play dates easy and frequent. They even attended the same preschool and dance class. They are the best girls!

Now, I can't forget my other two munchkins. No, I don't have 3 girls... I just have a handsome boy who loves to dress up with his sister Kallie. They are 2 of a kind. They play together well and torment each other even better. Keegan will grab toys out of Kallie's hand just to hear her scream. Kallie is good to look out for Keeg and include him when playing, hence the pretty purple dresses they are wearing. I will be using this as blackmail when he gets older!

Happy Easter!

Holidays are so fun with the kids. I had to work the whole weekend (Saturday, Sunday and Monday night) so we tried to fit everything in between naps! Aunt Wendy took the girls to an Easter Egg hunt Saturday night. They had a blast and stayed out til midnight..I guess they knew the Easter Bunny would wait til they were home and asleep to make his trek to our house.

When I got home from work that morning, the Easter Bunny had come. We woke the kids up for a candy filled Breakfast. Keegan was a little nervous about all the jelly beans "spilled" all over the floor, but he and Kallie sure figured out cleaning it up and eating it in a hurry! At one point he had so much candy in his mouth he was drooling all over and couldn't shut his mouth. (I wish I had a picture). He was so excited about his spiderman basket all he could yell was about his spiderman.

Here are the kids in their Easter attire! Thanks to Grammy the girls were beautiful Princesses. Kallie had been begging to wear her Pretty Princess Dress for over a week. And Shantel once that dress was on she was ready for the photo shoot. She had MANY poses for the camera...this happened to be my favorite one she pulled out. Anyone have an agent?!?!
We went to Gary's parents for dinner..a very delicious ham and other yummy sides. Here are a few pictures of the kids in the back yard. Kallie so innocent (ha ha) and Keeg with a mouth full of gum.

April Showers Bring May Flowers

We have been dealing with crazy spring weather this year. Sunny and warm one day and snow the next, so for spring break we did a lot of inside crafts this year.

Ella And Shantel with their Easter Egg Cupcakes!

Kallie and Keegan Dying to take a bite!

YUMMY

Here is what they looked like after we finished decorating.

Here is what they look like after you leave a 2 year old unattended for 5 minutes!

Easter Spring movies are always good on snowy days!

The girls painted a coat rack to hang in the closet in attempt to start hanging their stuff up after school.

And of course you can't forget coloring eggs! We got a hug decorating kit with paint, glitter, stickers and other fun decorating ideas. The girls had a great time making the eggs their own. We only had 3 eggs break! Of course all 3 were broken by me! We had a great time with all the crafts and activities. More Easter photos to follow.

All Grown Up!

Notice Anything Different?
After much begging from Shantel we finally decided to get her ears pierced. She has been begging for a while; and after the explanation of how ear are actually pierced she usually changer her mind; but not today. Gary and I had explained once again that it WILL hurt and you have to clean them and take good care of them. She insisted, so on a cold Sunday morning we packed up and headed to the mall.
Not sure where to begin, I thought of Clairs. It was the only place I knew for sure that did ear piercing..besides the Piercing Pagoda in the middle of the mall and all so see.
After looking at all the earring options she decided on the pink "diamond" studs. She loves pink and wanted diamonds like me. (oh that was cute!)
She climbed up on the big chair and the lady drew blue dots where the earring would forever stay. Shantel grabbed my hand and held tight. SNAP! The first one is in! Shantel didn't flinch, she was so still. I was so proud and held back my mommy tears.
Then the lady asked if she was ready for the next.
SNAP!
My big girls ears were pierced with pink diamonds and she didn't cry or even tear up.
When we got home she ran to the mirror and wouldn't stop looking at her self. She said they made her look "Even more beautiful." She told me that she wanted to cry but she wanted to be so brave that she didn't cry. That's my girl!
I can't believe how big she is getting. What's next...boys and driving? NO! I will take summer then 1st grade.
